Land Records
In Vermont, land records are recorded in the town where the property is located. Recorded documents are public record and may be searched at the Town Clerk’s Office. Appointments are not required.
Recording fees: $15.00 per page for most documents.
Flat rate for the Vermont Property Transfer Tax Return: $15.00.
Recording of plat mylars: $25.00 per sheet.
Research time: $4.00/hour in 15-minute increments.
Copies of land records: $1.00/page.
Certified copies of records: $10.00/page.
